Happy Birthday Dylan

Today is my little boys third birthday. I have mixed feelings about the day (of course) I'm happy that he's growing up but on the other hand where has the first three years of his life gone?

Dylan you have made the past three years such a wonderful journey. You have taught me to love in a way I never thought possible. You can have me laughing one minute and crying the next. You make me so proud to be your mother. You will always be my little Bub! I love you Dylan and I wish you the Happiest Birthday ever.

We're Back

Luke and I had an amazing time. We were sad to leave the beautiful weather, but anxious to return to our children!! A very big thank you to Nana and Papa for taking such great care of Dylan and Caleb....Caleb looks well fed!! And to Auntie Jana for driving in from Calgary and spoiling the boys..as usual! The week in the Dominican was filled with MANY fun adventures. Here are just a few pictures from our trip. We hope to do it again in the not too distant future.

Hola Mis Amigo's

Well after a very long 48 hours, we finally made it to the Dominican Republic (DR). Even though we arrived in Punta Cana at approximately 8:30 p.m we still had time for a terrific supper buffet and a midnight swim in the ocean! Today has been our first day in the sunlight - which we have put to good use by boogie boarding, snorkeling, eating and...occasionally drinking! We hope everyone is doing well in Canada, and we look forward to seeing you in about a week.

Blast OFF

Here's a little story to make you laugh....
Dylan calls me from upstairs, " Mommy , Mommy I found you a coupon." Now myself always being one for a good bargain I race up the stairs to see what my thrifty son found. There in the bathroom is my 3 year old son holding a TAMPON not a Coupon! He was so proud of himself that I didn't have the heart to take it away...I figured really what's the harm? I head back downstairs to finish getting ready when I hear... 3...2...1... Blast off. I head back upstairs to find Dylan with unwrapped tampon in hand all dimensions of the tampon fully extended and the string hanging down. Look mom its a space ship! What can you do but laugh!

Hair Cut Anyone??

So back in December Dylan had his last hair cut. We decided to grow out his handsome red curls to see what would happen.... Needless to say it was CRAZY hair so we finally chopped it all off. Here are some before and after shots. Caleb is next on the hit list!

Busy busy busy!!!!

The first month back in the 'loops has flown by. And we hope that the next few months fly by until we are in our new place! July 15th is the new date and so far the date has been changed twice...this better be the last time too! Here are a few pics of my growing babies!

Jessica and Chris got married on Wednesday night.
Dylan was the official "pillow boy"...(Dylan's name for the job) Ring barrer. It was a beautiful QUICK ceremony.

Christa made them the wedding cake and it was the best cake I've ever tasted....thanks Christa you are on deck whenever I need a cake!!

What to do????

So we've moved!!
My life is in total disarray... boxes, boxes and more boxes. The boys seem to be coping with the move somewhat smoothly. They are both waking up in the night 2-3 times so to sum it up I'm awake a large portion of the night (BLAH!) I've been trying to wean Caleb not because I want too but because I'm going on vacation in one month and I'm not taking him with me. I thought he'd be ready by now but boy was I wrong. As the hours pass by without some "booby juice" he gets so miserable not to mention aggressive! Maybe he's not ready and I should pump the week I'm away and give him bottles while I'm gone. But what if when I get back he's not interested in breastfeeding anymore?????? What do I do?

This is just a short little post to get a few pictures of the birthday boy out there to all of you who didn't make the party.....
Caleb was a good sport and wore the silly cone hat for a little while. His favorite part of the day was the vanilla cupcakes loaded with chocolate icing...yummy!!! By the end of the party Dylan still didn't seem to understand the concept of today being Caleb's birthday not his.

Last moments in Calgary

Being as it is our last fews days..hours...minutes in Calgary, we are busy doing everything from packing up to visting our family for the last time. The other night we made a trip down to "Old Nana and Papa's" house. We've had many great visits with them and very sad to be leaving them. We'll miss you and love you lots!!!!

48 Hours of Valentine's Day

No matter how many times I tell Luke not to get me flowers on Valentine's Day ..HE STILL DOES!
I just hate how for one day out of the year the price of flowers seems to rise 100%.
Well nonetheless I love them!! And I love him of course for making me feel so important.
So the flowers arrived the 14th...



followed by a card which read...

I love you today, more than yesterday but probably not as much as tomorrow. You have become part of me and there would be no me without you.

Now just when I feel that with everything going on we are so far apart he gives me that. I feel that God has truly blessed me!

And then last night he surprised me with dinner and a Flames game. It was genuinely so much fun! We drank we cheered we enjoyed each other’s company. And had the best Malt EVER!!!!
By going to the game last we only have one more thing to do before we leave Calgary....the calgary tower!
