the greatest miracle of all.

I remember Dylan's birth like it was yesterday. Feelings of anticipation, anxiousness, excitement, nervousness...but above all joy! Forever will I remember the pure joy and feelings unfit for characterization by words that filled my heart. I don't think I knew how much I could love someone until I looked into the eyes of my own child.

God has blessed me in so many ways; even when I don't deserve it. Tomorrow we look forward to another blessing, the newest member of our family. Me and Marlene are also blessed with friends and family who care for and love us. Thankyou to Nana & Papa and Grandpa and Grandma who have traveled to Calgary to welcome the arrival of our newest family member! We also thank all of our friends who have either emailed or called to send us their prayers and support.

Well, should get to bed. Tomorrow is a big day. We will keep everyone posted of the outcome. So far the odds are 50% boy, 50% girl....not really good odds to work with, so we don't suggest placing any monetary bets. Goodnight for now. Check back for pictures of....

Two more sleeps!!!

There are only two more sleeps until baby number 2 arrives. I'm getting nervous and anxious. It's like waiting for Santa...just a little more painful!!!
We keep telling Dylan what is about to happen on Tuesday but does he understand??? I think he is just in denial. My mom arrived friday and Luke's parents arrived Saturday afternoon. So now that the family is arriving the reality of the situation is really setting in.
The past couple of weeks have been really tough with Dylan being sick and waiting to find out what the world was wrong with him. Now that we know he has Mono it's a little bitter sweet. We just pray the new baby is strong and healthy, and is able to fight any virus his/her big brother has! Well off to bed for one of the last good night sleeps I'll have in about 10 months!!!! I Love Night Feedings!!!!! Horray for Breast Feeding!!!!

You know your old when...

It's 9:15 and you are yawning to stay awake! Feeling guilty about not updating the blog - I suppose tha' s the nature of the beast - now that we have a blog...we actually have to blog. We had an absolutley gorgeous past weekend here in Calgary. With a high of 15 on Saturday, we decided to take advantage of the weather and enjoy one of our last times together as a family of three. We went to the zoo! Dylan had a blast, so did mom and dad. It was a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon, and we look forward to repeating the event with our soon to be expanded family. That's it for now - 5am comes early and we need our rest! Enjoy the pictures.

Blast from the Past

Wonder Where He Got His Good Looks???

Our Sick Boy

Dylan has been very sick today. Despite our best efforts to cure him, the sickness remains. After a valiant fight with flu like symptoms, he has now retired for the night to his warm and cozy bed. Hopefully the much needed sleep will rejuvinate and energize our little boy. Tomorrow is another day and we hope it goes better than today did! Please pray that he is feeling better soon.
