We are alive and well

Yes we are still all alive....
We haven't had internet for over a week and I even went without a phone for a week too. But starting tomorrow I should be all up and running again. So I promise I'll post lots of pictures and a HUGE write up!!!! Luke just finished having 6 days off so we've been out on great family adventures every day.... Today we finally stayed home.. I have to admit it was good but I did feel a little bored. On Luke's days off we went roller bladding twice and yesterday we headed up to Kananaskis. It was an amzing day of hiking and playing in Barrier Lake. We were the only people at the lake....well except the 2 french girls in there rubber dingy. They didn't seem to mind Luke swimming in his underwear.

Really once again there isn't too much new out here in Calgary. Karen leaves today and my parents just arrived yesterday. Dylan and I went to a new preschool yesterday and registered him for the fall. The teacher there wants him to be in the older kids class..ages 3-4...still not too sure how I feel about that..he is still so little!!! I think I'll get Luke to bring Dylan to school on the first day. The preschool is 2 days a week and the class is two hours each time. It will be a nice break for me and Dylan. It looks as though we will be staying in our condo for awhile longer we just can't afford the house prices in Calgary. But we continue to pray that God will send something our way... We are heading to Kamloops on the 21 of June and staying for about 6 days. See you all then...I hope!!!!!

week in review

This past week has flown by. Karen has been staying with us for the past week and we've been really busy. She helped me plant some flowers in our front yard...we've been shopping and of course Luke and I spent some quality time together. I better not forget to mention all the great cooking karen has done....tonight was roast beef dinner with all the fixings. Today Luke and I rearranged our cluttered house and now we are at peace!!!! Tomorrow Dylan has his second preschool class. Last week was his first week and he didn't really have the best time. So I'm hoping he has a little more fun this week. He doesn't seem too excited to play with the kids he'd rather stand back and watch.... well I must not forget he is only two and the youngest kid in the class so I guess I shouldn't be too hard on him. Luke is taking him tomorrow so it should be fun.

I give up!!!

Why is it that when ever I need to change something from B.C. to Alberta it is like raising the dead. First it was our health cards...then Dylan's immunization..and now the frigin' car.. What a nightmare. I feel like we are the first people to move from BC to Alberta. Needless to say the next few days will be filled with prayer about what we should do about our car... IT DID NOT PASS THE INSPECTION. It needs 4 new tires and some other bogus thing that will cost $300. Whatever... God it's in your hands...

Caleb got this huge spot on his face today. It looks like a big ZITbut really I have no idea what it is...Probably from the heat.

My children have been naked for most of this evening and are going to bed naked too.

I can't believe how hot it is. Jana bought caleb and Dylan matching PJ's with a family tree on it..here are a few pics.

What a wonderful day!

Yesterday was such a beautiful day. I woke up to breakfast and 3 cards. One from each of my boys.

Then off to church we went where Dylan made me my first mother's day gift. He made a little flower pot with two little flowers in (it brought me to tears). It's amazing how such little things can make a person smile.

After church we headed to Nana and Papa's house for brunch. We ended the day by going to the river for a LONG walk. My sister bought me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers.

I wish it was mother's day everyday.

The wind beneath her wings....

There was a little breeze yesterday so we took advantage of it and flew Dylan's new Nemo kite. Jana sure did get a work out.

The intructions said that the wind needed to be around 20km...so we figured Jana could run that fast......we were wrong.

But none the less Dylan enjoyed chasing her around the field yelling..."come back here Nemo ...Don't fly... I'll save you!!" After a stranger trying to give us advice on how we should fly the kite and which way the wind was blowing we decided to retire the kite and Jana.

Birthday Boy

Well his birthday came and went....and now that he's officially two I can blame his naughty behavior on the TERRIBLE TWOS.

Not that he is extremely bad because I've dealt with some pretty horrible children in my day....he's just so darn strong willed (who does he get that from?)

He really did enjoy his birthday and the excitement in his eyes opening his presents was priceless. It's amazing the joy and happiness my children bring into my life.....and then Dylan yells at the top of his lungs when you ask him to do something NO WAY!!! And all they happiness vanishes for a few minutes.. But I still love the little dude.

WHY?

It's time for me to finally head off to bed. I spent quite a bit of time tonight cleaning the house because tomorrow is Dylan's birthday. I'm feeling really sad that my little boy is turning two.

And I find myself asking the question, "Why do they have to grow up?" I'm so content with the age he is right now. He is so grown up for only being 2..if you ask him how to spell his name he replies..D...Y...L...A...N. and boy can our boy do puzzles.

He starts a new preschool class in a few weeks so I'm really excited to see him make some new friends. I often think about my parents and how they must feel seeing me now have kids of my own and they must reminisce about when I was little. All I know is that I sure am going to miss my "little" boy.

I guess one thing won't change and that's how much I love him. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DYLAN
